Hi everyone! I’m thinking about using disposable wooden cutlery for an eco-friendly event I’m organizing. I love the idea of reducing plastic waste, but I’m curious about how practical it is. Does anyone have experience with wooden cutlery? How does it compare to plastic in terms of durability and usability?

I’ve tried wooden cutlery as well, and while I love the environmental aspect, I did find some drawbacks. It’s great for salads and snacks, but I wouldn’t recommend it for very hot or heavy foods. Some pieces can bend or splinter, especially if they’re not from a quality source. If you’re going this route, I’d suggest doing a test run before your event to see how they perform with your menu.
I’ve used disposable wooden cutlery https://www.zenpacks.com.au/disposable-wooden-cutlery at a few events, and I think it’s a solid choice. It’s generally more durable than plastic, especially for light to medium meals. Plus, it gives a nice rustic touch to the table setting. Just keep in mind that it can sometimes feel a bit rough, so I recommend checking for brands that are well-sanded.
